Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Description
Bucky O'Hare issue #1 was one of the first things I had ever bought with my own money. I'm pretty sure I paid for it with a ziploc bag of pennies, nickels, and maybe one or two dimes. To this day, I still consider it some of the best money I've ever spent.
Originally a comic series, it spawned a TV series, toy line, and video games. Although the other incarnations were clearly made for kids, even now, I find the comic series to have an unusually adult narrative, even if it does involve a green rabbit space captain. I've always loved Bucky's ship, the Righteous Indignation, and not just because of its totally ass-kicking name. It was a second-hand frigate bought to fight for freedom against a brutally expansionist Toad Empire with limitless resources. The Indignation, along with two other such ships, comprised the entire resistance fleet.
This is my final, finished scene involving both my Indignation model and my Toad fighters together. The scene is taken from one of the first pages of the first issue of the Bucky O'Hare comic. While trying to find a reference image to link here, I've found out that the hardcover volume, as well as the original comic, serialized in Continuity Comics' Echoes of Futurepast series, lack this particular page for some reason. So until I get a scanner (Christmas is coming!), you'll have to take it from me that the scene is very accurate to the original.
Using effects gizmos for the explosions, engine glow, etc, is new for me, and I think it turned out pretty well. I also did a lot of experimenting with multiple light sources and shadows, as well as the "raytrace" reflective material. Almost everything is rendered in 3DS Max; the smoke on the gun barrels in the foreground, and some detail to the explosion, were added in Photoshop.
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. For those who were waiting for this, I hope it was everything you hoped for. And to everybody: Enjoy! And please, let me know what you think.
